I thought this cabled headband/earwarmer would be a fast knit...after all, it's a small project. Well, maybe if I had been paying a little closer attention it would have! First I couldn't get the right gauge (I tried like 5 or 6 different needles), then once I had to do the increases, I didn't come out with the right amount of stitches. And I didn't have a circular needle or a set of DPN's to knit this in the round, so I had to try to refigure the pattern for knitting flat and seam it up. All in all, it came out nice. And everybody just LOVES the big smiley face, right? (hee hee hee)
