"The Teaching of the Holy Fathers on Illness"

"The Teaching of the Holy Fathers on Illness", by the Nikodemos Orthodox Publication Society (ISBN not listed).

Part of a three book series ("The Teaching of the Holy Fathers On:" Illness, the Body, the Passions), all of which are excellent. But for anybody that suffers from a chronic illness, this book is such a consolation. It's a small booklet--only 47 pages and 4¼"x5½"--but it's packed with helpful information on the purpose of pain and suffering, the cause of it, and how it can be used in a positive way in our spiritual lives. As a person that has had both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, this book gave "purpose" to what seemed like meaningless suffering, and it has helped me substantially to get through painful and bad days. Here is part of the contents of the booklet.
