Blanket's done!

I just finished making my little one a small blanket from the "Cars" (Pixar) fabric panel I bought. I think the panel is actually supposed to be a wall-hanging, but I thought it would make a cute blanket to curl up to watching "Cars" for the millionth time. :-) It came out okay...it will make a toddler happy, and that's the most important part! (I did have fun quilting in clouds in the sky and cacti, though). I don't know why I have so much trouble with the tension on my sewing machines. It's either too loose on the top or bottom, no matter how I check it or adjust it, and by the end of the project, it finally seems to be right, but it's inconsistent with the rest of whatever I sewed. Then because I'm always fooling around with the tension, something that should only take 20 minutes or so winds up taking HOURS. I was going to make another blanket for a gift for another toddler (thinking it would be a cute and quick gift--ha!), but with the problems my machine gave me on this one, I'm giving it second thoughts. Maybe I need a couple of days to get over my frustration!
